Mercury is in Scorpio (4). Mercury calls all of us to establish Ahimsa in our lives –
Amimsa is a Sanskrit word –
Derived from the Sanskrit root himsa (to cause pain or strike). Prefixed with a- (meaning “not”).
Ahimsa is an ancient Indian ethical principle that translates to “non-violence,” “non-injury,” or “absence of a desire to harm” any living being in thought, word, and action.
There are Three Levels of Harm:
True practice requires avoiding harm across three dimensions: physical (kayaka), verbal (vacaka), and mental (manasika, such as anger or ill will).
• Spiritual Premise:
Ahimsa is rooted in the belief that all living beings share a divine spiritual energy (etheric_; hurting another is ultimately hurting oneself and carries karmic consequences.
• Hinduism: A primary virtue and the first yama (ethical restraint) in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. It heavily influences Hindu traditions of vegetarianism and universal compassion.
• Buddhism: The first of the five ethical precepts (sila), guiding practitioners toward non-harming (avihinsa) and compassion (karuna).
Catholic – Love of Enemies: The Catholic tradition grounds nonviolence (ahimsa) in Christ’s command to love one’s enemies, turn the other cheek, and disarm interpersonal and systemic hostility through “weapons of truth and love” rather than retaliation. love to all, Risa
