The total solar eclipse – seen in Greenland & Spain & parts of north north America! Something essential for all of us disappears, falls away, its purpose complete. Making room for something greater on the spiral of livingness.
In the sky with the eclipse & new moon are the Perseid meteor showers! Hundreds of them showering the Earth with light.
Question: Who is/was Perseus?
It’s important that we study & know the classics – the literature from our past – India, Egypt, Jerusalem, the MidEast, Europe, South America, history, geography, philosophies, literature, art, religions, et. etc.
These allow our minds to be filled with knowledge which then creates the Thinking Mind. Then when events occur in our present world (a spiral of livingness) we can refer to the past & understand the present/future.
So who was Perseus?
Spiritual prototype of the spiritual warrior – Hercules.
Slayer of the Great Illusion (past, present & future).
The Great Illusion is upon us once again – the F/Darkness in this Kali Yuga capturing the minds of humanity & infiltrating to destroy all of humanity’s endeavors.
He defeated archaic monsters
Killed the Gorgon Medusa (head of snakes)
Rescued Andromeda from a sea monster sent by Poseidon
His mother, the original Rapunzel, locked in a tower where Zeus came as a shower of gold, impregnating her. She gave birth to Perseus.
They fled to the sea in a wooden chest.
Her prayers kept the boat afloat even in darkness.
They washed ashore on Seriphos, a Greek island in the Aegean Sea.
In Seriphos, the frogs are mute. It was also a place of exile.
Why are the frogs mute?
According to Greek mythology, the frogs on the island of Seriphos (Seraphos) are mute because the hero Perseus prayed to Zeus to silence them so he could sleep.
After slaying Medusa, Perseus returned to Seriphos, turned the tyrannical King Polydectes to stone, and finally lay down to rest.The Prayer: The local frogs croaked so loudly that they kept him awake. Exhausted, Perseus prayed to his father, Zeus, to make them stop.The Curse: Zeus granted the wish and silenced the island’s frogs permanently.
A fisherman on Seraphos gave Perseus and his mother shelter.
Perseus grew up as the fishermen’s protégé. And the child grew to manhood.
Perseus is like Mercury who wears the “sandals of wisdom.” Mercury with Gemini builds the Antahkarana, which frees the personality for the Soul, then freeing the Soul for the Monad.
Constellation Perseus – The radiant point of the meteor shower is within the constellation Perseus.
Greek mythology, Perseus is the legendary son of Zeus and Danaë. The physical source of the shower is actually the debris trail left behind by the comet Swift–Tuttle.
