Study today – Well now we are in the Mercury retrograde, 26 degrees Cancer. On this last day of June, Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Mars rules our day today, Ray 6, sky blue.
Mercury retro –
Careful in the retrograde everyone. We all know what to do by now! But first (working with the astrology today & everyday) – Locate where the Mercury retro is occurring – from 26 degrees Cancer back to 16 degrees Cancer in your astrology charts.

Then we know what area of life the Mercury retrograde will be in effect for each of us. (for me from the midheaven back into my 9th house – house of the professor, of pilgrimages of the higher mind).
When we apply the transits in the heavens to my astrology charts, we begin to see clearly.
Then we expand our Knowingness. And recognize when Mercury is out & about in our lives.
And so…
Jupiter last night left Cancer after a year & entered Leo.
What is Jupiter? What is Leo? What do they do, how do they influence us, what are the Rays involved?

How do we work with the Mercury (4) retrograde in Cancer (3/7)?
And Jupiter (2) in Leo (1,2, 5)? Jupiter will be in Leo for an entire year?
How does/will Jupiter in Leo affect us & what opportunities does Jupiter in Leo bring?

These are the questions a student in astrology asks of the transits each day, after placing the transits (moving planets in the sky) around their chart.

Then the entire world of the self, of the environment, of the earth & the heavens comes alive with purpose, meaning & direction.
It’s as if one has entered a fraternity or guild of thinkers & knowers, connecting the heavens with the earth & looking out into the world with different abilities to see, know, hear & understand. Astrology is the foundation of study in the Mystery Schools of which this is one.

Jupiter (2) in Leo (1, 2, 5) gives the physical body a strong Sun filled vitality.
Jupiter is the Lord of Wisdom (Sag ruler) & the Lord of Love (Pisces ruler).
Wherever Jupiter in the heavens is moving thru one’s chart (for one year in Leo), this indicates great achievement, a fusion of head/heart & mind/love, a fusion of multiple realities & disciplines (doctrines, philosophies, religions, etc.), a boundless abundance of both material & spiritual blessings.

This area of life is key to spiritual purpose as Jupiter distributes Ray 2 of Love/Wisdom, & Love is the foundation of our solar system (the 2nd of 3).

Jupiter governs the Mutable Cross (Cross of Experience, of Many Changes) – how the personality builds in knowledge, strength & courage.

The Mutable Cross of Experience – directed by Ray 2.
Gemini (2), Virgo (2/6), Sagittarius (Jupiter rules Sag) & Pisces (Jupiter, original ruler of Pisces).

Note: in the Bible – The three crosses on Mount Golgotha (Mt. of Crucifixion) were Biblical symbols of these three astrological crosses, the Common or Mutable Cross (of experience), the Fixed Cross (of the Soul) and the Cardinal Cross (of Spirit).
Three spiritual developmental stages for humanity.

Ray 2 of Love/Wisdom ruled the Mutable Cross.
Vast dualities are brought together in harmony via Ray 2.
Also, the Ray 2ness & Jupiter (with Mercury) governing the Mutable Cross (Cross in which the personality learns about form & matter) shows the Divine Compassion & Love of the Father for his Prodigal Children who….

Descent into Matter from Spirit
Every human being, spiritual in origin from the Father’s house, every Soul is a spark of the Over Soul and although divine in essence, descended into denser planes of matter (Earth rounds) in order to learn about form and matter, to experience it & through personal effort & earned merit consciously becomes immortal – (to return again to the Father’s house after the pilgrimage on Earth.

To learn about the Earth (3, where the Son & Daughters of Mind live) & form & matter the human being “mounts” the Mutable Cross (Cross of Experience), the Cross upon which the personality (body, emotions, lower mind) lives thousands of lives, learning all to there is about matter, until the personality has grown in strength & courage & is able to withstand the Fires of the Soul.

All this time, as the personality is experiencing form & matter, the Soul is gaining the necessary knowledge of earthly expression. It is learning too. Gathering the lessons of living on Earth via the experiences on the Mutable Cross with its four mutable signs – Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius & Pisces (all Lords).

On the Mutable Cross we are living the Life of Desire – the desire to know all there is in form & matter. We are only conscious of the self, no one or nothing else. The self experiencing itself in form & matter.

After gaining vast amounts of experience on the Mutable Cross of Experience & building the personality, we begin to seek something else, something greater, vaster, more expanded.
This is when the Soul begins to make itself known.
Eventually & after a long long time, the human steps off the Mutable Cross of Experience & climbs the Fixed Cross of the Soul.
The Soul’s presence (’til now it’s quiet & observing) quickens and all of a sudden one enters into a new reality – what appears to us in the life of duality – me & you, this & that, here & there, etc.
It is a wonder to us.

Our vision & experience expanded.
There is an increasing tension which is the tension of duality.
Heaven & earth – that duality becomes apparent.

On the Cross of the Soul or personality is being refined, we begin to realize there are choices (before, on the Mutable Cross our only choice was what experiences shall I have next). Life begins to be experienced differently.

One realizes there is a path or many paths to follow, one sees people think or believe differently, that there is a vast multitude of differences & so many choices to choose from. One becomes aware of the “other” in all phases of life, especially the human. The thought and idea of Love begins to emerge in one’s consciousness. This is a new thought, idea, feeling. It only occurs on the Cross of the Soul, because the Soul IS Love.

The Soul loves us.
And on the Cross of the Soul, this love is felt perhaps for the first time. Or perhaps I should say Love is “consciously” felt, we become aware of it. The direction of our lives takes a radical turn. Our life expands and changes.

The Fixed Cross of the Soul has the Fixed Signs – Taurus, Leo, Scorpio & Aquarius. Or Taurus/Scorpio & Leo/Aquarius. Illumination, call to discipleship, shining like the Sun & seeking to become a World Server. The Cross of the Soul is ruled over by Scorpio – the call to Discipleship.

In this Cross, desires become aspiration – the personality has the choice to offer itself for direction to the Soul. When that offering occurs, we hear the words of the Soul via the sign of Cancer (cardinal cross sign)-

“I will build a lighted house within you, my beloved personality, & I will, with my Light, dwell within you.”

The soul’s evolutionary journey across the zodiac involves Three primary Crosses (states of experience & unfolding realization), each Cross governed by an overarching zodiacal sign. Man evolves in an ordered sequence under the direction of the heavens (God’s Geometry).

Later one mounts the Cardinal Cross – for another time.
