How are we preparing for our death?
How do we prepare for our death?
This subject isn’t often discussed in our world, our families, our lives.
What do we want to occur, should we become ill?
And should we be facing death….
Who do we want with us?
How do we want to die? Do we want a priest or minister?
And after death…
What do we want to occur before & after our death?
Do we want a priest to administer Extreme Unction (Holy oils for the sick & before death).
Do we want Tibetan monks to come & chant Ohms as we die & read the Tibetan Book of the Dead to us (directions as to what occur as we are dying & after?).
Do we want a Mass? Any type of religions observance?
Do we want to be buried or cremated?
Do we want a celebration of life?
How, what, where? How do we want to be celebrated & recognized?
What do we want to say to our loved ones?
What do we want as words in our obituary? Do we want an obituary?
What should people do with our belongings?
Do we have life insurance? Do we have a will?
Are we afraid of death?
What do we understand about death?
What are our thoughts ideas feelings about our own death?
All of these questions & their answers help us to be prepared.
Death – an interlude, an adventure, an organized & ordered process which we have done a thousand times!
