Complex day today – Scorpio Sun, Mercury & Mars.
Scorpio moon touching in with Jupiter, Chiron, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus. Deep waters today.
Sun/Uranus – things unexpected. Jupiter/Chiron – a wound surfaces seeking healing.
Hercules is Scorpio. Humanity is Scorpio, too (Ray 4).
Humanity is Hercules, who met his Teacher & entered upon his Journey (12 Tasks, 12 Labors) at the age of 18 – when there is a nodal return.
The North Node & the South Node return to where they were when we were born. It is the beginning of early adulthood, reached at the Saturn return (age 27 – 33).

There are 18 Puranas (Hindu Teachings) **
Age 18 – when we begin to go out into the world.
1+8 = 9 = ending of our childhood. Initiation into the world.
The age of 18 – mirrors the age of 81.
18 – Entering into the world – experiencing the world. the Prodigal Son – sacrifice (from the heart), esoteric – process of offering the personality to the Soul, offering our service to the world.
Hercules, sacrificed himself, seeking the Truth in experiencing the world in all 12 labors.
Each Labor, a truth unfolds.
Scorpio Labor – the Hydra – the personality.

At 18, we return to our North Nodes – we enter into early adulthood.
18 – mirror of 18 is the age 81 – when wisdom begins for an elder.
18 – setting out to experience the world, offering the self to the world – the sacrifice of self.
81 the fulfillment of the experiences in the world – sacrifice of self for world upliftment.
When reading Labors of Hercules, we think about this.

Our world now, entering Scorpio, we are in a state of sacrifice, reorienting form matter to spirit as we hear the call to Discipleship.

There are 18 Puranas. What are the Puranas?
The Puranas are ancient Hindu sacred texts containing mythological, genealogical, and cosmological information, including stories of gods, kings, and sages. Written between approximately the 4th century BCE and 1000 A.D., they are considered a key part of popular Hinduism, meant to make the spiritual truths of the Vedas and Upanishads more accessible to a broader audience through stories and legends. There are 18 major Puranas Compiled by Vyasa.

Scorpio Labor
When a drought occurred in Argos, Amymone (A mee mun ee) (represents the feminine, innocence, carrying a water pitcher to gather water at the spring) called upon the aid of Neptune (god of water), who commanded her to strike a rock, from which, when she did, gushed out three crystal streams.
Soon a terrible hydra ((large snake like dragon, signifying one’s at first unskillful cruel ignorant personality behaviors, personality centered only) (the hydra had poisonous breath and blood so virulent that even its scent was deadly.came to live there and a plague spread over the whole countryside).
Hercules must now destroy this monster with its nine heads (physical emotional mental – 9 levels of unskillfulness), of which one is immortal.
His teacher warns him that conventional methods will not work for destroying one head causes two to grow in its place.
The only help he can offer Hercules is to remind him….
We rise by kneeling; we conquer by surrendering; we gain by giving up & offering the the heart. Which then regenerates life itself – Scorpio.
