Jewish Festival (after Sukkot) – Shemini Atzeret – to pause.

When taking down the Sukkah.
Praying for rain for the coming year.
Gratitude for G-d’s love & protection and for the Torah (the Laws, the 10 Commandments, the Laws of the Aries Age given to Moses by G-d).
Also the festival of Simchat Torah – rejoicing in the Law or the Torah.

In the jewish community this is a day of solemn gathering.
A day to pause in one’s life, a quiet day.
A day of taking down the Sukkot (temporary dwelling).

Thanksgiving for G-d’s protection during those 40 years in the desert. Thanksgiving for each year’s harvest and prayers for rain to assure next year’s harvest.
