Dear Friends, today is the first day of the Jewish Festival of Sukkoth. It is October 7th, anniversary of the terror that occurred in Israel October 7, 2023.
The Festival of Sukkot is a festival of joy and gratitude.
A festival of seeing the evil & choosing the good.
Today I am posting a Sukkot first day ritual from the
Central Synagogue, Reform Judaism, Manhattan, NYC.
In honor of today’s anniversary & in honor of Sukkoth.
The people walking thru the desert protected in a Cloud of Glory.
Perhaps some or many or all of us were on that 40 year pilgrimage.
And so…today – Libra – the Choice.
Mercury Uranus & Pluto – revelation & transformation.
A Ritual for Succoth.
I watched & listened to the entire ritual. It is beautiful.
The Israelites loved G-d as their protector.
Their love for G-d is heard in their prayers.
The prayers are beautiful. Beauty is a hidden Path to G-d.
May we join with our brothers & sisters of the Jewish faith this week, housed in the temporary & fragile dwellings (sukkah).
May we have joy (which is a choice). And may we have Love.
