Love of the Christ anchored on Earth. Wisdom of the Buddha who came to prepare the Way 500 years before the appearance of the Christ.

Saint Teresa of Ávila (1515–1582) was a 16th-century Spanish Carmelite nun, mystic, Counter-Reformation reformer, and the first female Doctor of the Church. Her extensive literary corpus forms a cornerstone of Christian mysticism, Spanish Renaissance literature, and the science of mental prayer.

Her writings:
1. The Way of Perfection – thru virtues of love, detachment, prayer, humility.
2. The Interior Castle – considered a masterpiece on the spiritual life. St. Teresa images the soul as a diamond-like crystal castle containing seven concentric mansions, guiding the soul through gradual rooms of self-knowledge and prayer until reaching the seventh mansion, where mystical marriage and union with God occur.

Themes – Prayer as Friendship with God.
Discernment, Self Knowledge & Humility.
