The Giving of the Law (Torah) on Mt. Sinai.
Reading the Book of Ruth.
Shavuot – Festival of Weeks – 7 weeks after Passover.
Like Pentecost – 7 weeks after Easter/Resurrection.
50th day after = “pente” five.

The Ten Commandments –
Given to the Hebrew people on their long 40 year walk/pilgrimage from Egypt to Canaan – from the Taurus Age to the Aries Age.

The Aries Laws & Principles were to be followed by humanity for
the Age of Aries. They were/are the Ten Commandments.
We celebrate this “giving” of the Ten Commandments today w/ all of humanity. And with the Hebrew people.

Each Age humanity is given its laws, guidelines, directions.
This is how humanity can progress by following these laws.

The Ages & the Laws –
Aries – the Ten Commandments.
Pisces – to “love one another – the Law of Love”.
Aquarius – Three Laws & Three Principles for the Aquarian Age.

The laws offered to humanity at each new Age are given by the Lord of the World & the World Teacher – Sanat Kumara & the Christ/Maitreya. Also by the Manu & the Mahachohan.
Each Age a World Teacher appears.
The Aries Teacher was Moses.
The Pisces Teacher was Christ.
The Aquarian Teacher is also the Christ. He will be known as Maitreya.
The precipitation of Maitreya, the Aquarian World teacher, begins in 2025. We are the outposts of this “appearance.”
We are the pioneers of that cosmic “event”.

So today – Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Reappearance Meditation & Shavuot – the Jewish Harvest Festival & the remembrance of when G-d gave Moses the Ten Commandments.
Each year, the Ten Commandments are re-given (on Shavuot).
They are “given again” so that we remember.

Each Age has its laws & principles. They build upon the previous Age’s Laws & Principles. There are those within humanity who have yet to honor the Ten Commandments. They are thus unable to honor the Pisces Commandment “to love one another.”
Now we are embarking upon the new laws & principles.
Time just continues on. There is no let up to time.
Humanity keeps up with the times (evolution) or lags behind (involution – deeper into matter).
It is up to each of us what we will choose to do.
Keep up or lag behind. Eventually those who lag behind will be placed in a deep sleep (pralaya). And the wait for another opportunity to move forward will be eons & eons & eons of time.

Festival
Shavuot (“Harvest Festival, Pilgrim Festival, Festival of the Weeks”) was originally an agricultural festival celebrating the end of the barley harvest and the beginning of the wheat harvest, during which people brought newly harvested grain and fruit to the Temple. It also commemorates God giving the laws to Moses at Mount Sinai.
The Jewish Festival of Weeks becomes Pentecost in the Catholic/Christ-ian religion.
The Jewish people were walking to the Land of Milk & Honey.

Pilgrim Festivals – In the synagogue liturgy, special Psalms (called collectively Hallel) are read and prayers are recited that vary with the nature of the festivals. The Song of Solomon is read on Passover; The Book of Ruth on Shavuot; and Ecclesiastes on Sukkoth (building temporary homes)

Making all things dairy.
The foods during Shavuot are made with dairy.
Cheesecake is a favorite food eaten during Shavuot.
All things dairy – cottage cheese, sour cream, butter, blinzes & dumplings filled with sweet cheese.
Why dairy?
In the spring time, the cows have the freshest of milk.
And the barley crop is coming in. And the wheat needs to be planted. And the bible mentions the nourishment of “milk & honey” in the Song of Songs. Also a verse from Song of Songs (4:11) compares the Torah to honey and milk—the Torah provides our spiritual nourishment.
Another idea involves the practice of gematria (each Hebrew letter has a numerical equivalent). The Hebrew word for milk, chalav, has a numerical value of 40. This number corresponds to the number of days Moses spent on Mt. Sinai receiving Torah. And the number of year (40) the people walked in the desert between Egypt (Taurus Age) & Canaan (Aries Age), the Land of Milk & Honey.
