The Role of the Father.
Definitions, characteristics and true identity of the role of Fathers. Based on the Seven Rays.
It is important to understand what are the characteristics of a Father, what is the Father’s purpose?

The word “Father” – from Latin “patr” – paternity, pattern, and patron (one who supports another). The root patr is seen in the word patriotic, as someone who is acting in a patriotic fashion is supporting the “father” land.

The Father in esoteric teachings personifies the qualities of Ray 1.
The qualities of Ray 1 form a pattern within the child, a pattern that the child sees in the behavior of his/her Father.
What is Ray 1?
What qualities & virtues are Ray 1?
Ray 1 is the first Aspect of God the Father.

And so…how is this useful?
Imagine teaching teen agers the qualities of the Rays.
And what each Ray means.
For example – Ray 1 (Father). Ray 3 (Mother. Ray 2 (the child).

This knowledge gives the young ones identification, how to begin to act with responsibility & how to become & be adults later in life. When the young ones know this information, they have guidelines and a job description.

So the job description of Ray 1, the Father.
The job description of each young man who becomes a father in life one way or another.
All men personify Ray 1 & the Father.

The Many Fathers in One’s Life.
Personifying Ray 1.
The many fathers – God the Father in heaven, one’s biological father, the elder brother, the priest (High Priest), ministers, the teacher, the policeman, soldier, statesman, leader, etc.

Ray 1 Qualities
Qualities of Ray 1 (what a father radiates & teaches his children).
Ray 1 –
The Word. Creation. Will (to Good, to Love), Purpose. Rule. Power. Strength. Focus. Direction. Leadership. Courage. Diligence. Inspirer. Adventurer. Tolerance. Intelligent, Wise. Tender. Selfless. Protector. the Guardian. Sacrifice. Truthspeaker. Spiritual. Sacrifice.

St. Joseph, the carpenter, was an exemplary model for all fathers. Joseph devoted his life to the care & protection of Mary & Jesus, his son (who later became the Christ).

These Ray 1 qualities are to be taught to the young ones by the father (by example) in every child’s life. Thru these qualities, the Will & Power to Love comes through the Father to the child(ren) in the family. Then then learn how to be fathers in life.

We are all prodigal children. In need of teachings.
