Part 2 – Monday. Christ Clears the Temple.

The Christ was in Bethel (south of Bethlehem). Bethel means “house of God,” a place many disciples learned from the Christ & made their dedication to serve.

Christ returned to Jerusalem & with His disciple, visited the Temple & was aghast at what He saw. “When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves, and he stopped everyone from using the Temple as a marketplace” (Mark 11:15–16).

Jesus Clears the Temple

Matthew 21:12-17, Mark 11:15-19, and Luke 19:45-48

“Christ said to priests in the Temple, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” Matthew 21:13

And so, Christ cleared & thus purified the Temple

“And the doves were set free & the Temple was cleansed (purification rite) & after the temple was purified, the poor & the lame came to Him to be healed. And he healed them.”

Story portrays misplacement of worship for idol things, of materiality. The misplacement on the material level, of matter (which is sacred).

Cleansing the Temple.

Corruption of the Sacred Temple.

Money changing, greed, falseness, sacrificing animals, blood flowing, the poor unable to pay, betrayals, stealing – all that made the Temple corrupt.

And the Lord took a whip & upset the table & the chairs & ran the money changers out of the Temple.

Present Times

Now the money changers & their greed are all over our world.

The prez attempting to clean the swamp (cleanse the Temple of our country & the world) –

As all countries as well as our country are a temple.

Our government is to be a Temple of & for the people.

The prez battling the Fed Reserve, trying to eliminate IRS, the tariffs, so our country & people can become self sustaining.

We too, each of us, have a responsibility in how we utilize our money & resources.

And that we serve others with our resources.

Destroying of materialism as we know it & bringing about the new materialism, the Principle of Sharing, of Cooperation to Brotherhood.

This ends the first day after Palm Sunday.

In our daily life, our bodies are our Temple, where the Indwelling Spirit resides. We do not allow anything to defile our bodies – not envy, untruths, lust, jealousy, hatred or anger. In other words, we first follow the 10 Commandments & we add the Pisces Law of Love.
