A love letter to a teacher – a Saturday story.
Today is Saturday, February 3, 2024.
It’s Saturn’s day – Ray 3 day. Saturn is the Teacher.
So a story about 2 teachers (see below).
A story
“Making contact releases love.”
What to do when contact isn’t made or received?

Story – an experience.
I wanted to step out of my daily routines of writing & teaching & step into another teachers platform. A sort of rest.
I wanted to participate in another teacher’s teachings & to rest in whatever that other teacher was teachings. So I could be like a student again. So I looked around & chose a teacher who had a lot of personality & vitality & presence & watched their you tubes and listened to their ways of teaching.
Different than my ways of teaching, but also, there was something vital that I sensed in that teachers teachings.
I did their astrology chart to understand them better – we have the same rising sign (Libra).

After watching & listening, after a few weeks & In the end, I sent a private letter to the teacher – sort of a love letter (from one teacher to the other teacher) of praise & recognition about that teacher’s way of communicating. It was a sweet short message, offering praise, presenting an offer of friendship, equals in what we do in the world. I hoped we could have a conversation or two. I had written…”let’s talk Alice Bailey!”

After a few days passed, in return for my note, I received a generic response from Customer Service. It was a generic non response like one would receive from a corporation. This response jolted me, kind of shocked me & over time I realized it hurt my heart a bit.
I felt sad that my reaching out, my attempt at making contact wasn’t received or acknowledged or handled with care.

The Tibetan tells us “making contact releases love.”

I don’t know where my teacher to teacher love letter is now. Disregarded as it was.

And so I wondered what to do with my feelings of wanting to reach out & there being such a cold non response. Like a dangling participle (English writing term).

To ease my heart & in my mind….I realized I could use my visualization – visualize sending a greeting from my heart to that teacher’s heart, a cotton candy pink line of light. The light containing that message of recognition.
Saying again to the teacher – Let’s be friends, let’s talk Alice Bailey. I had wanted that teacher to be my friend. Often teachers are lonely in their field of work.

And so pondering on this…
…..as everything is a lesson in something!
Sometimes things, people, experiences we seek and want & try for don’t work out. The outcome is different than we hoped for.
Accepting that occurs in the long run is for the best.
And always, no matter what happens, it’s love that underlies everything. I soothe & care for my heart by remembering that.

Candlemas – promise of spring, the light rising.
Mary presented in the temple with the holy child.
Mary is purified. The holy child is baptized.
What did the ground hog tell us today?
February is also a ceoss quarter day – the very day in the middle – between winter & spring.
It is Imbolc in the Celtic calendar.
And the end of the Christmas & Epiphany season.

Today, Friday, Ray 5 day, Venus’s day.

Candlemas Day, a cross quarter day – a day of significance astronomically and religiously, marks the moment in time (day) between winter solstice (Dec. 21) and spring equinox (April 21). Like a spring festival of preparation, we turn over the soil and prepare it biodynamically. We sort our seeds, call forth their life-force, thus securing our future food supply. We can sense the Light is returning. We feel hope and vitality in the wind, the air & the soil.

In the Catholic Church, Candlemas, 40 days after Christmas, marks the end of Epiphany (little Christmas, January 6).
On Candlemas, the holy child and Mary are presented in the Temple. Mary is bathed (purified in a ritual bath – a mikvah – of sea/salt water) and the holy child (Jesus) is recognized as the promised and long awaited “Light of the world.”

Candlemas is a festival-of-fire-day, acknowledging the Sun light is rising. In churches today, pure beeswax candles are blessed – to be used throughout the year for light & protection. These rituals anchor into our little worlds the change of the seasons, the change of the light and the Light of Life itself. They connect us on Earth to the heavens above. We come into harmony and balance on cross-quarter days. And all the kingdoms are lifted up to the Kings of Beauty.

The Astrology Today.
Scorpio (4) moon (4), Aquarius (5 & 7) Sun.
The receptive feminine rays blend easily with the radiating out masculine rays. The day is good.

Mercury (4) sextiles Neptune (6) – our thoughts & words express kindness & care. We see through the veils of illusion & maya into the essence of what is in front of us. Love appears.

The sons of men (Sanskrit for the “thinkers”) are one.
And I am one with them.

I seek to heal, not hurt.
Let pain bring due reward of light and love.
Let the soul control the outer form, and life and all events
