Hot Sultry Dog Days of Summer under the Blue-White Star Sirius

We are in the “dog days of summer.” Dog Days, a phrase describing the hot and humid summer weather (in the northern latitudes) from July 3 – August 15 – 20 days prior and 20 days after the star Sirius rises and falls with the sun! “Dog Days” refer to Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky in the constellation Canis Major, the “Greater Dog.” Dog Days coincides with Sirius’s rising with the Sun.

In Egypt, the annual flooding of the Nile occurred as Sirius, the blue-white star left of Orion, became visible at sunrise. This is called the heliacal rising of Sirius, a flashing forth of the Light of Sirius at pre-dawn before the Sun appears. Rising before the Sun and over the dome of the sky, Sirius and the Nile’s floodwaters (to grow the foods for the year) appear simultaneously. Sirius and the Nile are associated with fertility, life and abundance.

The Pyramids (Temples of Initiation) are aligned with Sirius (also referred to as Isis). A sculpture of Isis stood in the Egyptian temples. In her forehead was a jewel. The position of Isis in the temples aligned with the heliacal (near the Sun) rising of Sirius. As Sirius flashed forth in the pre-dawn sky, its light touched the jewel of Isis. As it began to sparkle and glow, the Temple priests knew the Nile would soon overflow (needed for agriculture) and the Egyptian new year began.

Sirius, the star of freedom and liberation (Leo’s tasks). Sirius rules and signifies the aspiration towards freedom that founded the experiment in freedom called the United States. Love originates from Sirius. The love of Sirius flows through Leo and its royal star, Regulus, into the hearts of humanity.

Sirius is the path of the heart. When we make contact with Sirius, love is released. Christ, the World Teacher, is from Sirius. Upon completing our long journeys to Earth (a mystery school where we learn about and bring light to form and matter), seven further paths appear for our choosing. One is the Path to Sirius (Path of Electric Fire).

Sirius is a binary star (Sirius A & Sirius B, two stars orbiting a common center). In Mali, West Africa, the Dogon tribe has known of Sirius and its companion star Sirius B (Po Tolo, seed of creation). The Dogon’s source of information was the Nommo, amphibious beings from Sirius. Night Light News (our website), is named after Sirius B – our creation.

Aries	March 21 – April 19: Notice you begin to seek perfection, first at work and then with partnerships and relationships, ‘til finally you find you’re tense and critical about everything and everyone. Be aware and try not to fall into this deadly way of being. Venus is in Cancer, and when there is criticism, we begin to wilt and disappear into sadness. Instead, be of goodwill and service to others, after tending carefully and with kindness to the self. How in your life would you do this?
Taurus	*April 20 – May 20:* You may find your attention directed toward the animal and/or plant kingdoms. For some reason your intimate relationships are either doing well, are somewhere far away, or there’s no one intimate around. Therefore you concern yourself with the kingdoms that need you. If it’s gardening, plant a garden of white and gold and figure out what roses best reflect you. For the animal kingdom, tend to their health, teeth, fur, fins, or wings. Their devotion serves us as they learn how to be human.
Gemini	*May 21 – June 20:* *Groups*. Some of us, feeling we have little safety or constancy and experiencing emotional vulnerability, seek security and hope at home wanting it to fulfill our deep and needful longings. Is this you, Gemini? For this to be a reality, one must tend to the home environment – from cleaning and refurbishing to decorating and adding features to create more safety and security. Being attentive to all that surrounds us creates a reflective golden light to shine upon us. Get down on your knees and begin scrubbing.
Cancer	*June 21 – July 22:* Concerned about money, you attempt to clear up bills and debts hastily, hurriedly and quickly. Careful with this in the Mercury retrograde. Mistakes can be made. You want to pay bills as they come in the mail. Then you worry less and can concentrate on communication and casual social interaction. You’re curious about everything. It’s time to contact siblings, old school mates, neighbors by phone, text or emails. You’re curious about everything. Especially about yourself. A good thing.
Leo	*July 23 – August 22:* Finances and resources will take a turn upward and outward and although you can be practical, you may seek unusual luxury items that enhance your self-esteem. Should lots of money find you, research how to maintain its value – by investing in silver and gold, for example. You will want to manage your resources in these unusual times in unexpected ways as the tried and true financial paths are quickly crumbling. Remember to tithe to groups and organizations that assist those in need – all the kingdoms – earth, plant, animal, human and spiritual.
Virgo	*August 23 – September 22:* You may be looking in the mirror wondering how you’re seen by others and consider a change in appearance from hair to clothes to types of shoes. You want to be attractive and magnetic. Go beyond that and seek to be stylish, hip and just a little bit different. I read that style is individual; fashion is a trend. Which are you? Altering how we look alters feelings about ourselves. Tend to forgotten tasks put off for gloomy and rainy days of which there won’t be any soon in these dog (god) days of summer. It’s a happy time for you. Hang multiple crystals in all windows.
Libra	September 23 – October 22: There are several messages attempting to get through to you and they affect your future. These messages are possibly coming through dreams (day and night). Have at your bedside pen and paper to jot down dreams and impressions should you wake in the night (are you sleeping well enough?). A sort of gentle nudging process is trying to bring you to the next level of awareness of Goodwill and Right Relations. Art will help in this. Remember yourself as an artist long ago?
Scorpio	October 23 – November 21: It’s important to maintain diplomacy amidst overwhelming and possible challenges to your power. Scorpio is to learn how to use power responsibly and with poise. You may feel your foundation is being destroyed. Maintain a power within. You’re to be with others, in groups with like-minded people who, like you, have very high objectives. Stand equal with everyone, including superiors. You have an authority that others recognize. Do you? Tend to self with disciplined kindness. Do not control others, as you would not have them control you.
Sagittarius	*November 22 – December 21:* Careful with communication in all areas of life, with others, at work, with family and friends. Have you been feeling your work is less than desirable, sliding dangerously into boredom and not meeting financial, emotional, psychological or intellectual needs? Do you wonder what to do and seek freedom and fulfillment – sort of a revolution? You also want fame and fortune. Know that all our desires and aspirations are embryonic stages of what eventually will be. Life events are slower than our fiery thoughts. So what do you suppose you must develop on your path these days?
Capricorn	December 22 – January 19: Your mind may be asking solemn questions about the meaning of life, your life in particular and your purpose. Simultaneously you’ll be meeting new people. But there’s something deeper to discuss. Begin and/or continue with your manifestation writings and drawings about your family (self, friends, etc.). This exercise isn’t just for one day. Your daily work creates the magnetic field around you and what you need, and one day the two fields unite based upon your constant attention. Remember these words – community, water, greenhouses, friends, abundance, love.
Aquarius	January 20 – February 18: Notice if you feel certain levels of change. These are small psychological signposts that your emotional life is changing and shifting to include more kindness and benevolence, and then forgiveness becomes very important. There may be some sort of windfall of money or resources. Make sure you research what’s best to do with your finances. Something keeps occurring with the American dollar. Don’t simply do as you’ve done before with money. A new reality is emerging.
Pisces	February 19 – March 20: You need order, beauty and harmony in relationships and your surroundings will assist you in making some very difficult decisions. But when you do act upon those decisions, events will go easily and smoothly. You are very sensitive to deep psychological situations within and around you. A challenge will present itself. You must focus upon what your needs are. When they are met you can then assist others. If you always give yourself away, soon you’ll simply disappear. Don’t. Your gifts are needed by humanity and the world. Find a warm swimming pool to swim in.
