A Story Today. Things Unexpected.
Mars/Uranus.
Thanksgiving week – 2023.

Week of Giving, Goodness, Gratitude & Being Glad.
Today – Friday, November 24, 2023.
Quote:
“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”
—G.K. Chesterton
Let us continue our days & week(s) of gratitude, giving & gladness. The letter G is the 7th letter of the alphabet.
Ray 7 is the Ray of creating new archetypes & anchoring them in the world. Creating new rhythms.

Goodness, Gladness, Giving & Gratitude – like four Royal stars in our hearts. Remembering that gratitude is the “Royal Way” in the spiritual work. And so we add Goodness, Gladness & Giving.

Gratitude is a way of giving which we give w/ Gladness & see that everything is Good!

Today – Friday, Ray 5 day of Venus.
Venus & Ray 5 (truth, knowledge, real science) go hand in hand with Ray 7 – as Ray 7 takes all that is good & anchors it into our world. From one heart to the other hearts all around us.

And speaking of Joy – which all the above create.
Joy is a quality of Jupiter (2) & of Sagittarius (4, 5, 6).
Sagittarius Sun flows through Jupiter.
The energies of Thanksgiving – of Giving, Gladness, Goodwill, Gratitude.

Today’s Astrology
Sun/Mars in Sagittarius.
Mars (action, vision, hopes wishes dreams) entered Sagittarius (4, 5, 6) just after midnight. Mars is Ray 4 of Harmony thru conflicts & chaos. We pray for harmony in the Mideast & everywhere where there is war cruelty & killing.

Mercury (4) / Uranus (7) today – things unexpected.
Mercury/Uranus – something unexpected while driving, in thinking, thoughts, communication, etc.

A Story
A story of things unexpected (Mercury/Uranus).
We were invited to Thanksgiving dinner this year.
To a place far away. We prepared as well as we could, setting aside work & other tasks & we were a bit stressed with time.
What was interesting was when I looked into the day I could not see it. The day felt empty. I didn’t know why.
And so….
We finally were ready, packed & got into the car & drove for a long time yesterday, Thanksgiving day. We drove over hill & dale, thru meadows & valleys, over streams, thru small towns, over a large lake with boats, under a blue blue sky. We noticed in the little towns that nothing was open, every business, even restaurants, were closed, except for one Mexican restaurant on a hill overlooking a lake in the center of no where.

It was a long drive. It was a quiet day. Hardly anyone on the road. We were looking forward to finally reaching our destination, be out of the car, be with friends & sit at a lovely table with candles, flowers & food & eat together.

Well, about five minutes before our destination, after about an hour & a half, these words appeared in my my mind….
“Risa, you have the wrong day. There will be no one at the house you are going to. The gathering is tomorrow, Friday!”

It took me some time to integrate that reality. In a state of shock I shared with my friend – “I think we have the wrong day….”
There was a silence between us at first. Then we both simultaneously realized the mistake we made. And we both went into shock. Here we had spent a lot of the day driving to a gathering that didn’t exist. It was as if we were lost in time, a time dimension. It was as if we had skpped a time line, went into the future in the present. Disorientation followed.
Well, as we integrated our mistake, feeling lost, we turned the car around & slowly began to drive home. Another 1 1/2 hour drive ahead. We had not prepared food for Thanksgiving so there was no food at home. After an hour we passed the open restaurant over the lake. But decided not to stop there. I think we were both exhausted from the realization of our wrong time, and from driving. We had not eaten yet for the day.
So we came home. And we remained in a rather strange cloud of confusion. We tried to eat a dinner but couldn’t.
Later, we reviewed the day, wondered the purpose for our mistake & talked of what we were grateful for. After saying our prayers for the evening we went to bed early.

Reviewing the astrology we see that Mercury was moving into an inconjunct (elements don’t work well together) with Uranus.
Often when the planets are aligning, we feel them beforehand. And that is what had occurred. And the result was an unexpected event. Our thinking was a bit askew, our timing off. It was a Mars/Uranus (unexpected) day we realized.

And so, it’s a new day. The day of the real gathering.
We are looking forward to what may occur today…and to the real gathering. Hoping for nothing more unexpected to occur as we drove over hill and dale, thru meadows & valleys, over the lake, past the restaurant, under another blue sky and onto to our destination far away.

I wonder how other people’s Thanksgiving was yesterday.
love, Risa
