Today is International Mountain Day & Candlelighting Day.
3rd week of Advent Candle.
This candle recognizes the Light within the animal kingdom.
The birds in the air, the love for the animal kingdom in all its diversity.

Nourishment
Nourishing ourselves through the holidays.
In many ways – spiritually, physically, emotionally & mentally.

Recipe
Here is a recipe for Golden Milk.
I will add this golden milk to my chai.
Making Christmas cookies today.
And gathering Christmas cards to send.
Writing a note to everyone by hand. Card & note in an envelope.
Adding a stamp. Sealed with love.

Golden Milk
½ teaspoon organic ground turmeric
1 ½ cup almond milk (homemade is best)
2 teaspoons grass fed ghee
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Pinch of black pepper, optional
1 tablespoon raw local honey

Combine all ingredients, except honey, in a medium hot saucepan and gently warm while stirring with a wooden spoon to combine. Carefully transfer hot liquid into a blender, tightly sealing the lid.
Blend til frothy, about 30 seconds. Pour into a cup, add honey, and serve hot.
Mix this with chai. Then one has a golden chai latte.

Rose Candle
Lighting our 3rd Advent Candle – the rose colored one.
For Joy. This is the week of Joy. Knowing the new light will appear at Winter Solstice (we begin to prepare for Wesak then).
The festivals of Hanukkah & Christmas follow, then the 12 Days of Christmas. So many festivals that anchor the Light. Risa
