Tonight – In the sky tonight, Wednesday April 16, 2025.
Moon in Scorpio in the field of the red giant Antares, known in mythology as the Egyptian goddess Selkit, a manifestation of Isis.
The royal red star of Antares catches the Moon and offer her the seeds of its mythology. The Moon becomes filled with its message and, according to Plato in the Timaeus, this message is then transferred to the earth through its lunar phases.
A doorway opens for humanity with Moon Antares… and so a doorway is opened to us, a doorway that leads to the deeper, more and more highly creative part of our own soul.
It is interesting to note those who were born with moon occulting Antares –
WW1 – 1st August 1914, on the day of an occultation – the commencement of WWI. Begun in 1912 with the beginning of the 1st Balkans War which officially commenced four days after an occultation on 14th October, 1912 after the occult series was completed in 1917.
Nine Heavenly Influences.
Antares, is the “heart” (star) of Scorpio.
Antares is the component of the divine tetramorph initiating change and the metamorphosis of form life; in this sense its qualities are healing or destructive. In some early Christian traditions, the star was known as one of the four “Arch-angel stars”, and it represented Oriel, the “Watcher of the West”.
The four royal stars are Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares, and Fomalhaut. They are significant in Persian and other traditions, often associated with the cardinal directions and various deities or spirits. In Persian tradition, Aldebaran is considered the “watcher of the East,” Regulus the “watcher of the North,” Antares the “watcher of the West,” and Fomalhaut the “watcher of the South,” The Four Archangels.
