We learn from each other.

Example (a small one):

My mother made nut & poppy seed strudel (sweet bread dough) every year at Thanksgiving, Christmas & Easter. She would make very large loaves in the shape of a 1/2 circle. I always thought I had to make them that big too. And to always use walnuts & poppy seeds. Well my daughter is now making the strudels. This year, she made them much smaller – small loaves of sweet nut & poppy seed strudels & she wrapped them up & tied them in a pink bow & gave them away as gifts. I had never thought to make the studels smaller.
