Lent – an exalted work of & preparing for Initiation.
What does Lent mean?

And so….
Under Mercury (4) retrograde in Pisces (2/6) & during Lent. Under a Pisces Sun & Cancer moon – how much more internalness can we experience? All those waters under a retrograde in Pisces moon.

Today, talking with the Christ in the desert about His Reappearance. Remaining in the desert during Lent with the Christ.

That long time ago in the desert.
As He more fully took on the garment called a body, emotions & lower mind – the personality & learned to use it over His highly spiritualized Sirian Light Self, He encountered all types of experiences – which humanity encounters & experiences – from high to low, from dark to light, from temptation to purity, all rhythms & elements & archetypes – all experiences humanity encounters being human.

It was like a trial by fire in that hot desert.
Learning the rhythms of the physical body, the currents & highs & lows of the emotional body, the mental thoughts & ideas.

As the Christ learned the rhythms of being human, adapting to the need of being human, we too, during Lenten times, learn new rhythms.
Recognizing non generative habits, being tempted forego healthy habits, we too, during Lent place upon ourselves the goal of attaining new habits, new rhythms & new virtues.

At the Three Festivals (Aries, Taurus, Gemini), at the Spring Equinox, at Easter (Resurrection Festival) there is an inflow of spiritual force (light), a higher vibration than we are used to each day. The purpose of the Lenten disciplines is to prepare the personality (physical body, emotions, lower mind) for that influx of Light force.

40 days – 40 nights – 40 – a significant number often cited in the Bible. Who can list them?

The Israelites walked in the desert for 40 years – purifying their Life Wave in the wilderness, so they would be prepared enogh to enter into the new lands (Promised Land, lands of milk & honey, Caanan) & be pioneers of the new sub life waves (new humanity) & new era & age (Aries).
Their 40 years walk symbolized the journey from the Age of Taurus (Egypt, emotional plane, materialism & slavery) to the Age of Aries (freedom, the Age of the Law – development of the mind principle, torah, Ten Commandments).

The effort we put into our preparations & purifications during Lent is equal to the amount of light force we will be able to receive during these festivals.

Lent is a Soul Journey, revealing the Soul, its task to direct the personality. Our personality working with the Soul.

During Lent we search thru the past year, we search our heart – what experiences did we have since last Easter? It is an inner self examination. Which is exemplified this year with Mercury (thinking, communication) retrograde.
The Mercury retrograde is helping us remember.

There is a word used in the Catholic church called “scrutinies” – meaning asking, questioning, looking inward).
These are questions, recognitions – we scrutinize our lives and ask ourselves how and where can I do better?
What disciplines would it be good for me to undertake – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual?
Physical – Exercise, right eating – physical.

Emotional – Being non reactive, observing & responding w/ kindness.

Mental – Thinking, reading the bible each day – one day at a time, reading esoteric or spiritual books each day.

Spiritual – Prayer & Meditation, going to Mass, to church, joining a prayer group. Pray with Hallows.

Reading the bible the stories of Job & Jonah – manuals of Initiation.
Lent is preparation for the Initiation called Resurrection (in the heavens – the Sun in Aries, the beginning the new spiritual journey).

The bible’s stories of the Christ are allegories & real teachings for disciples – outlining the Initiatory Path of all disciples (all humans in all religions).

The Christ (Archangel from Sirius) dedicated Himself to the Guardianship of the Earth (during the Sun period) & thus when it was time, descnded into our planetary sphere to tak e upon Himself a human form in the person of the Master Jesus (Christ overshadowed Jesus at the Baptism at the River Jordon & remain overshadowing Jesus for three years).

The Christ forged a Pathway for humanity, the Path of Holiness.
Nature itself moves rhythmically in harmonious union.
Humanity in following Christ’s life is called to also move in harmonious unison, to follow the same course & pathway as the Christ.
Then we are able to place ourselves closer in attunment with not only the changing seasons, but with the elements, with nature, with the heavens & with the Christ Himself. He is our Teacher.

The Christ duplicated all experiences & Initiatory steps of all previous World Teachers. However, the Christ added a deeper more profound level, depth, & significance to His Presence on Earth. Not only did He open the door to humanity’s return to the Father (not opened before), the Evolutionary Arc.
But He enacted the Mysteries that await the future developments of mankind. The Christ at Gethsemane anchored the first strand of the Aquarian Age & also the first strand of the Will of the Father.
This in itself is a mystery.

During Lent we prepare for the Easter Mysteries – the word of preparation is self discipline, calling for a firm & concentrate will (being willing). The path in the desert is narrow & steep. Nothing is seen but the Cross (discussed in a previous text). We call forth purity, love and faith from the Soul to help prepare us to receive the new light. We call forth also the strength & firmness of purpose which is built into the Soul itself. We call upon the Soul to assist us in creating new rhythms, new virtues.

The will/Will is the masculine column of the Temple. The fire element. (Divine Intelligence (Holy Spirit embedded in matter, the Mother) is the feminine column of the Temple – it is the water element). The two columns (principles) join together during Aquarius stand together equally at the top of the triangle formed of the two columns. And Love/Wisdom pours into the hearts of the two. And the Holy Child appears. This too is a mystery.

We need the esoteric occult approach to understand the Mysteries – to know & understand the Mysteries we must penentrate into the heart of the story. We begin always with the outer aspects. They hide the inner mystery. It is the esoteric & occult that helps us uncover the mystery & understand it. The stories & the mysteries are all about ourselves. The Christ showing us the Way (when we are awakened & aware, when we are seeking to know, when we are ready).

There are Three Rites that occur during Lent.
The Rite of Purification (preparation)
The Rite of Illumination (knowing)
The Rite of Mastership/Mastery (being & doing & serving, to forge & to heal).
All Mysteries have these Degrees.
We begin at Lent. The Christ teaching us. We are grateful.
