Sunday March 17, 2024 – a new week begins.
St. Patrick’s Day & the Mystery of the Trinity.
St. Patrick was a Christian Missionary, born in Britain, taken to Ireland. He taught the people about God.
He is often depicted as either holding a shamrock (three petalled plant) or directing one’s gaze to a small plant growing low to the ground w/ three leaves & yellow flowers.

Shamrock – the shamrock is a clover plant with a yellow flower and leaflets made up of a stem with three small green leaves.
The plant is very common and widely distributed throughout Ireland.
St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland

St. Patrick’s Day is an Irish celebration.
A cultural & religious holiday, the most celebrated holiday in the world.
St. Patrick’s Day always falls during Lent (time of purification).
And so, as it is Lent & St. Patrick’s Day too, the Lenten restrictions on alcohol are lifted.

The color Green (Ray 3, Active Intelligence).
Originally the color of this day was blue.

Shamrock – Trinity
St. Patrick was a spiritual teacher.
He taught about the Three Aspects of God.
Will/Purpose, Love/Wisdom & Divine Intelligence.
It is written that St. Patrick used the shamrock, 3-leafed, to teach the this Trinity.
The Trinity (in Christianity/Catholicism) means God has three Aspects (Principles).
We all have these Principles within us too.

The pattern of THREE permeates our world.
The Triangle with its 3 sides is the foundation of all structures – (as Buckminster Fuller in his geodesic dome & in the waves of the water can be seen & understood).

The Trinity
Father, Son, Holy Spirit/Mother.
Spirit, Soul, Substance/matter.
Father God, Christ/Jesus, Holy Spirit.
Will of God. Love/Wisdom of God. Intelligence of God.
These flow from stars in the Big Dipper.
They flow through hree stars called Rays 1, 2, & 3.
Ray 1 is Will & Purpose of God,
Ray 2 is Love/Wisdom of God,
Ray 3 is Active & Divine Intelligence of God.
The Rays stream from the Big Dipper (along with 4 more rays – the 4 Divine Attributes of God) into the bodies of each person & into all of Earth’s Kingdoms.
The Rays are Divine Energies that stand behind all of creation.

A food tradition on St. Patrick’s Day is Irish Soda bread with its many variations – both sweet and savory.
I’ll be making this today. It is a light springtime breakfast bread.
I love baking bread & cakes.
This past week I baked oatmeal almond Einkorn flour bread.
And a blueberry cornmeal tea cake.
Both (most of it) were given away.

I often bake breads or cakes and send them off to
a friend’s meditation group that meets every Saturday at a different home. I bake the bread or cake, keep a slice or two for our household, & then wrap it up and off it goes for the after meditation gathering.
I say to everyone I know – Instead of those little library kiosks where people can find books & take them home, as well as leave books (even art pieces & little gifts), I would like a little food kiosk ;ositioned up the long driveway where we live & next to our large postal box – under a pine tree on a dirt road.
I would leave the foods I make (savory & sweet) there for people in exchange for whatever money they would like to leave in return.
