Epiphany is today – A festival of depth & meaning.
The significance of which, to apply it to our present times – the need for a simultaneous birth that must occur within the hearts of humanity, the birth of the realization of the Soul, as the new era of Aquarius begins.
And so, we have the story of long ago which is also the story of now – an Initiation for humanity – the 1st Initiation called the Birth.

Epiphany – also called Three Kings Day, ends one part of the Christmas season (the Advent/Christmas season begun the 1st Sunday of Advent) & yet also continues the season ‘til February 2, Candlemas Day, the Holy Child’s Baptism in the Temple.

Today, Tuesday, January 6th, is the 12th Day of/after Christmas. It is under the protective sign of Pisces.
It took 12 days under the direction of the stars, for the Three Magi Astrologer Kings to travel from the East to the West to find the “holy child.” Epiphany falls on the last or 12th Day of Christmas, in Pisces, the sign of the Savior & of Saving the World.

The word epiphany means “to show, to make known, to reveal.” The first Epiphany – when the Magi Astrologer Kings found the Holy Family & the Child & in their magical yet hidden ways, informed the world the prophecy that a world Teacher would appear at the beginnig of the Age, was fulfilled!

This is what is referred to as the Messiah’s birth – although the birth of the child Jesus was just the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecy – Jesus, the Master of Religions, was the “vehicle” the Christ (a job description), Archangel from Sirius, would use (Jesus’s body at age 30) for three years teaching & directing humanity thru the new age of Pisces.

Epiphany – that long time ago at the beginning of the Age of Pisces – the birth of the Holy Child was “revealed” to the world by the Three Magi Astrologer Zorastrian Kings. When they found the child, an angel told them the child was in danger & for the Holy Family to leave immediately & travel to Egypt for protection.

When the Three Kings returned to their countries the word of the holy birth was shared & it eventually spread worldwide – the fact that the “expected One (savior, messiah, Piscean Teacher)” had arrived.

Epiphany celebrates the coming of the three wise men bringing gifts to the holy child. The gifts were gifts of recognition. Later the Three Kings “reveal” Jesus (later to be overshadowed by the Presence of the Christ from Sirius at age 30 at the River Jordon) to the world as the Lord (Law – fulfilling the prophetic Law) and King (Christ, overshadowing Jesus, later saying “I am the Light of the World. To get to my Father you must go through Me”).

The Three Magi Kings were Zoroastrian astrologers. They understood the symbols in the heavens as God’s handwriting, as direction & also as protection. The Kings were scholars, wise & learned men.

Recorded to be Twelve Magi Astrologer Kings, the three known Magi’s names were:

1. Melchior, a Babylonian scholar astrologer
2. Caspar, a Persian scholar astrologer
3. Balthazar, an Arab scholar astrologer

Understanding the Symbology
The holy child was born in a manger (humble abode, signifying for all of humanity, all nations & races of people), in Bethlehem (House of Bread – nourishment for humanity).
He was born on the geographical line where East meets the West, signifying that the ancient wisdom teachings were to move from their protected places in the East (India, Persia, Tibet) and move to the West, to educate the people in the West.
It is appropriate therefore why the Magi Astrologer Kings, the first Gentiles (non-Jews) to acknowledge this holy child, traveled from the East to the West. It is important for these facts to be emphasized and understood.

Three Gifts
The Three Kings brought three gifts – note there was no offering of sheep or calves or animals (the usual offering). The gifts were from the mineral & plant kingdoms.

Gold – virtue, Kingship, the highest brightest shiny golden metal.

Frankincense – prayer, perfume symbolizing a Great One

Myrrh – suffering, “holy unction (Holy Orders, a Catholic sacrament calling down grace, prayers & anointing in preparation for death), used as an embalming oil (for the child’s later death, a prophecy)

Marking Our Doorways With Prayers
The colors during Epiphany are white and gold. Traditional liturgical symbols of Epiphany are associated with the Magi. The symbols include crowns or pictures of the Wise Men, three gifts, a five pointed star, a globe portraying the world.

In our Institute (college, school, temple of learning, etc.)-we placed symbols +C+M+B+, symbolizing the Three Kings, over our doors invoking prayers and blessings to all who entered. This symbol placement occurs during Epiphany and it is especially done for homes.

On January 6, the symbol +C+B+M+ with two numbers before and two numbers after (for example, 20+C+B+M+26) can be seen written in chalk above the doorway of Christian homes.
The letters are the initials of the Three Magi: Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. They also abbreviate the Latin phrase Christus mansionem benedicat, “May Christ bless the house.”

The beginning and ending numbers are the year, 2026. The crosses represent Spirit Into matter, dispersed throughout the world. Marking the lintels of doorways is an ancient European practice with overtones of ancient magic (protection of the house). However, the symbols are now used throughout the world and usually represent a traditional Epiphany prayer and blessing.

Three Kings Cake
It is usual on Epiphany to make a Three Kings Cake, hiding a small almond in the cake. Whoever finds the almond, representing the holy child, is specially blessed. And therefore, must make the Three Kings Cake next year. A simple Three Kings Cake is a sweet pastry dough filled with cinnamon & nuts, shaped into a circle like a crown. Remember to add one almond into the dough. Who will find it this year?

The Astrology Today.
Capricorn Sun Mercury Venus & Mars – “Lost are we in Light Supernal.” We are the Three Kings, too, offering ourselves in service to the Holy Ones.

Virgo Moon today – we offer all of our talents, gifts, abilities in service to humanity. Virgo is the sign of Service. Offering our personality to the Soul in order to serve the world.
This is our gift of dedication to the Holy Child.

Sun/Venus today – our elder sister, Venus, is One with the Sun.
***Venus reaches Superior Conjunction, meaning it passes directly behind the Sun from Earth’s perspective, making it hidden in the Sun’s glare and invisible in the sky for several weeks as it transitions from the morning to the evening sky. Astrologically, the Sun and Venus conjunct in Capricorn, bringing focus to practical love, values, and commitments.
When Venus is behind the Sun from Earth, it’s a key point in Venus’s 8-year pentagram or rose cycle, representing a spiritual transition from morning star (warrior) to evening star (lover), symbolizing rebirth and a deeper inward journey of the pilgrim.
Venus, hidden now by the Sun, will appear in the night sky on February 17th.

Earth at Perihelion is observed two weeks after the December Solstice — January 3 this year. On this day, the Earth is at the point in its orbit where it is closest to the Sun. The difference is not significant enough to affect the weather, so it remains winter in the northern hemisphere of the earth, and summer in the southern hemisphere. Earth reaching Perihelion is a normal occurrence that happens year after year without anything of significance being noted. However, it is still a day to celebrate all the great things about our favorite star — the Sun.

of Scorpio – the light that calls humanity to become disciples, after severe testing to see if the seekder is ready to BE a disciple.

Today Friday, Chiron stations direct. 22 degrees Aries.
Under Aries, we find ourselves, our self identity.
Chiron propels us, thru a wound & suffering, to begin to seek our true self identity. Aries makes all things new, including ourselves.
And so, the seeker finally comes to the Temple of Knowledge & above the Temple are the words, Seeker, Know Thyself.
The way one begins to know the self, truly, is thru the science & art & study of one’s astrology.
Then one becomes relevant & never loses that relevancy of livingness.
In the ancient (& in our) Temple studies, the study of the stars was (is) a foundation for the Wisdom Teachings. No candidate was permitted to received further instruction without long & foundational study of astrology (language, symbols of the heavens, God’s handwriting, God, the Geomatrician, speaking in symbols).

Scorpio – the 8th sign, the 8th Gate. The Mystery Sign of the Zodiac, thus the Mystery School Teachings (of which we here on FB are one). The sting of death (scorpion), the eagle, the phoenix. Three stages of development through Scorpio. The waters of Scorpio are governed by fiery Mars – thus water & fire – the regeneration that precedes illumination & transmutation, where our essential self comes forth as Light. The biblical quote understood: “Unless a man be born of water, then of spirit (fire), he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” And so, today, under Venus, now we know these things. Generation (sacral) becomes regeneration (throat).
Ray 4 – Discordant opposing forces within the self must be brought to harmony. Then the mystery of Scorpio is revealed. All things must yield to harmony. Only by the study of the heavens & the wisdom teachings do we begin to understand these mysteries.
The ancient drew Scorpio as a skeleton in an open grave with a rainbow above it. Scorpio as the 8th house is the house of death (metaphorically), as it is also the house of reorientation & regeneration. Imperfect impure forms are subject to death. This is important because Scorpio is the sign of immortality. Nothing impure can return to heaven.
Under Scorpio we pray – lead us O Lord from darkness to light, impure to the pure, evil to good, from mortality to immortality, from lead into gold – in all areas of our lives.

And again the reference to the bible – “Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.” (Beatitudes)

Scorpio’s tests & trials awaken humanity.
Awakens the hearts of humanity. One becomes a disciples who stand steady in the Light, ventures into Sagittarius to learn from the Sagittarian Teachers, becomes the Initiate in Capricorn, the Server in Aquarius & the Savior in Pisces (which Jesus the Christ personfied). He saved the world actually.
In Scorpio one forges ahead into the battle ground, holding a banner on high – in Scorpio, warriors are we & from the battle, standing within the Light, we are triumphant.
