Preparing for the Jewish festival of Sukkot – Notes on the Festival, remembering the Exodus – from Taurus to Aries.
Preparing….
Question: Did Jesus the Christ celebrate Sukkot? **
Communication – sometimes misunderstood.
Holidays today.
Today – Marigolds –
Friday, October 3, 2025.
Venus’s (5) day today, Ray 5 day.
Facts, truth, concrete knowledge & science day.
The color is a golden persimmon marigold orange.
Aquarius (5) Moon today is v/c from 11:15am – 7:07pm.
Then the moon enters Pisces (2/6).
A shift in the Rays – tone, sound, color, vibration.
Today…
Libra (3) Sun & Mercury (4) – reaching out, harmonizing relationships.
Mercury in Libra, communication with others, is opposite Chiron in Aries.
With the opposition (Mercury/Chiron) (something over there somewhere) of Mercury/Chiron, there can be misunderstandings in communication. That something over there can be unusual or different, something we haven’t encountered before & due to this there can be interpretations that don’t fit the original communication.
Photo in Words – a gift to others.
When I write, I attempt to paint a picture of an experience.
It is like a photo in words.
When I experience something new, a person, place, event, etc. I write about it. If people are involved I send a message to them explaining my experience with them. Like a gift.
I write & share the experience.
I write how I experienced the event, the person, the place, the feeling, the visuals. Explaining also the words, ideas & feelings I heard from the other.
Then I send that gathering of words, like a poem, like a photograph in words, to the ones I experienced the event with.
It is a most unusual way these days of communicating.
However, it is a gift to them. A recognition. A continuation of being together.
It is sent as an honoring. A mirror. An offering.
Instead of simply saying….glad I met you, or I had a good time or thank you for the dinner.
I write about everything that occurred, everything I saw & heard. All my experiences about that meeting –
That moment in time – & like a photograph, offer it to them (in words, sometimes adding music).
And because this is so unusual a response, it can be misunderstood. Mercury/Chiron.
My Chiron is in Virgo – there can be a misunderstanding.
Mercury/Chiron –
Libra (being with others) & Chiron (wound with words, wishing for a healing thru understanding).
Acts of Love.
There was a long discussion around forgiveness.
The group went into very mental constructs about forgiveness, forgiving & asking for forgiveness.
But something was missing in the conversation.
The heart was missing.
Forgiving, forgiveness, being forgiven –
These are Acts of Love.
From the heart (sacri-fice).
Holidays today.
Butterfly & hummingbird day.
Look at the Leaves day.
World Smile Day.
Caramel Custard Day.
Storytelling Weekend.
Universal children’s week (Oct. 1-7)
Monday evening is Sukkot –
Building temporary shelter (structures, sukkas), living outside
in the open air, the roof of the sukkah made of branches, twigs, leaves & thatch – providing shade from the Sun however, open to the heavens, allowing stars to be seen at night & decorated with palms & fruits, fragrant plants, tree limbs, leaves & autumnal and Judaic themes.
A week long Jewish (Harvest) festival.
Festival of remembrance – the Israellites remembering The Exodus (walking from the Taurus Age to the Age of Aries).
The pilgrimage, the long walk, living in the Sinai desert for 40 years – from Egypt (Taurus Age) to Canaan, Judea (Israel) – the Promised Land, the land of milk & honey (Aries Age, Age of the Law).
Traditions of Sukkot – gathering the Four Species—a palm branch (lulav), a citron (etrog), three myrtles, and two willows—and reciting special blessings while waving them.
The four species are waved during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot as a prayer for rain, to express thanks for God’s blessings, and to affirm God’s universal sovereignty over creation. The waving action symbolizes joy, gratitude, and the unity of all parts of the Jewish people and creation. The four plants represent different aspects of the land and the diverse people who must
The sukkah – the fragile dwelling that is made reminds the people of the fragility of life & to seek the direction & protection of G-d.
Note: Jesus the Christ, a Jew by birth, celebrated Sukkot (a major biblical feast), as the Gospel of John 7 describes his journey to Jerusalem to participate in the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot).
Born a Jew, Jesus the Christ would have observed all the appointed feasts, and John 7 specifically places him teaching in the temple courts during this time.
Jesus used the public setting of Sukkot to reveal deeper spiritual truths, connecting the holiday’s rituals and symbolism to his own identity as the Messiah. Thus He brought the Aries Age into the Age of Pisces, & blended the two.
John 7: On the last day, that great day of the feast of Sukkot, Jesus stood with the people and cried out, saying….
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37-38)
Spiritual Fulfillment: Jesus fulfilled the symbolism of the feast of Sukkot by offering himself as the spiritual “living water” (Aquarius) and the true “Tabernacle” (shelter) in which God dwells.
Preparing by knowing about these things. Celebrating all religious festivals with our brothers & sisters around the world. love, Risa
